Hi! I’m Miss Amie.
Hi! I’m Miss Amie. I have been an independent piano teacher since 2007. I believe learning piano should be a fun, enjoyable, and rewarding experience. I strive to have a strong rapport with students so they feel welcomed, supported, and happy during lessons.
“She is not just a piano teacher, she is a friend, takes interest in what kids are doing, and talks about her life, too.” - S.B. (age 12)
About Me
How I Teach
My teaching strategy is tailored to individual students based on their musical goals, interests and motivating factors. I guide serious students toward excellence in note-reading, theory and performance, while helping recreational music students find their own joy in learning music.
Lesson Policy
Lessons are scheduled for the same day and time throughout the school year. There are no alllowed absences during the school year which means that regardless of the reason or how much notice is given, tuition is still due for missed lessons. If I need to cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson will be offered, if possible, or a credit given for the following month.

What are students saying? Find out here.
“Miss Amie is an amazing teacher. I’ve learned so much over the course of three years, all thanks to her. Even when I had first started piano, I loved it after a few weeks, mostly because my teacher, Miss Amie, is so incredible!”
